Over the course of the last 8 weeks I have worked

Over the course of the last 8 weeks I have worked with 2 coaching clients, not including my own work, all around the work of receiving.

Building a business is hard work. Whether you are creating something that you are enjoying as a side hustle or something you are building to become a legacy - the energy around receiving is one of the most important energies often neglected.

This isn't just personal development or woo-woo, this is often subliminal and/or subconscious in the way you operate your business.

Are you creating with growth in mind? When you design your products or services, do you consider how they will scale? When you think about the process your clients go through (e.g., booking an appointment), are you making it as seamless as possible, or are you building it to handle increased demand?

And even more than the subtle processes that support systems and processes, do you even believe you can receive what you want? Do you believe you/your products/services are good enough? Do you have confidence in what you're doing, who you're being, and how you're operating?

One of the biggest (capitalist) mindset problems we have conditioned in to us is that we need to EARN to receive. That we must be "good enough" and that our worth is directly tied to what we receive. What makes this some of the hardest beliefs to break is that that are systematically, subconsciously, engrained in us that we'll never reach "good enough" - so the work ends up burning us out and conditioning wins.

This shows up in lots of ways but is often a projected limiting belief from someone/somewhere along the way we've made as our own.

If you aren't ready to receive or building to receive, there is no capacity to receive.

Don't let the summer heat ruin your supplies! 😱

Every year we post this around this time to remind you to how properly store, order and use your supplies during some extreme temperatures. Please note that even if your studio isn't reaching the same temperatures outside, above room temperatures or repeated fluctuations in temperature can ruin your supplies - leaving you high and dry when it's time for your appointments.

Being proactive and keeping an eye out on the temperature of your studio is important if your products are not being stored in a stable environment (like a mini cosmetics fridge?).

When LOCAL temperatures are at consistent 25+ degree or higher for 3+ days, we will automatically use ice packs to help protect your gels during transit. HOWEVER, if your temperatures are HOT when ours are average, you should make sure to add a few ice packs to your order to keep your gels cool.

Did you know that for nearly 8 years (2010-2018), I stocked up supplies, knowing that one day I would launch a training and distribution system? During that time, Service Kits were also born. As someone obsessed with creating systems, processes, efficiency, and organization, I knew I did not want chaos for my students and customers. When performing tooth gems, etching the tooth sands/coarsens the surface allowing for your products and crystals to latch onto and secure themselves. If your sloppy with your application and letting your primers/bonds to cover too much unetched area you increase the chance of weakened retention and your clients gems popping off too soon.

If your adhesive, primers etc (whatever your distributor or brands call the 2 & 3 steps) are cured onto the unetched surface, they will not hold. This means that with the right force or perfect storm of events, your crystals are more likely to be popped off.

Extra tip: Be precise with your etching. Only etch the areas you need, as etching can create lasting changes to the tooth's surface.

This ONE question is so important and I can pretty much guarantee that 90% of you aren't asking this at your appointments, ESPECIALLY with new clients.

This question is so important that we've actually had it at the very top of our waiver forms so that you have this information for your clients on the ready.

Why is this so important?

Imagine you spend 20 hours a week making content for TT, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat or Shorts.

Little did you know 75% of your clients are coming from a single Snapchat ad. Or BETTER: word of mouth.

And here you are spending money you probably don't have and wasting time you certainly don't have creating content for platforms that are not yielding you the returns you think they are.

No, I'm not saying don't make the content for the platforms, I'm saying figure out where your clients are coming from and zoom TF in on it.

If people are saying they're finding you from Instagram then that's when you double down and start repurposing your best performing content, allocating more hours and resources to that platform and attracting your ideal clients.

If you don't know where they're coming from you're really just throwing money away and hoping it sticks to something, as a business owner you need to be far more intentional.

Where are your clients coming from? Do you know? If not, are you going to start asking?

You're the key. You're the magic. Prioritize yourself. Take a day off (or 3 or 7), go for a walk, take a pole class, volunteer with animals, whatever you need to do to pour into your cup - do it and do it unapologetically and often.

I feel like I could write a book on this but if you are not taking care of yourself and nourishing YOURSELF first, your business will eventually burn you out and become a reflection of your resentment, bitterness and struggle. Trust me, I know.

I am not a shallow person by any means, I can ONLY go deep.
